Foam Concentrates

AFFF

  • Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) Concentrates are based on combinations of fluorochemical surfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants and solvents. These agents require a very low energy input to produce a high quality foam. Consequently, they can be applied through a wide variety of foam delivery systems. This versatility makes AFFF agents an obvious choice of municipal fire departments, airports, refineries, manufacturing plants and any other operation involving the transportation, processing and handling of flammable liquids and materials.
  • Applications: Mineral Oils, Fuel Spills, Deep Fat Fires, Petrol Stations, Class A & B Fires and Hydrocarbon Fires.
  • Different types are: AFFF 3%, AFFF 6%, AFFF-AR (3X6) and AFFF-AR (3x3)

FP

  • Fluoroprotein Foam Concentrates are based on hydrolized protein, stabilizers, preservatives and synthetic fluorocarbon surfactants. In applications involving hydrocarbon bulk storage and handling - such as refineries and petrochemical operations - these agents offer several advantages over protein foams. They provide better control and extinguishing ability, greater fluidity and superior resistance to contamination. Fluoroprotein foams are useful for hydrocarbon vapour suppression and fuel-in-depth fires.
  • Applications: Marine Jetties, Oil Refineries, Airports, Oil Tanks, Class A & B Fires and Hydrocarbon Fires.
  • Different types are: FP 3% and FP 6%

FFFP

  • Film Forming Fluoroprotein Foam (FFFP) Concentrate contains hydrolysed protein, together with a blend of fluorochemical surfactants to achieve the maximum synergistic effect. The blend of fluorochemicals selected is effective in reducing the surface tension of water and oil sufficiently low to give a stable film on the surface of the fuel and as a result produce fire extinguishing rates superior to those obtained with synthetic based compounds.
  • Applications: Oil Refinery Fires, Hydrocarbon Blends, Marine Jetties, Gasoline Fires, Organic Acids etc. and Class A & B Fires.
  • Different types are: FFFP 3%, FFFP 6% and FFFP-AR

Synthetic Foams

  • High Expansion Foams are based on combinations of hydrocarbon surfactants and solvents and are used in foam generators - both stationary and portable - for applying foam to large areas in a total flooding or 3-dimensional application such as warehouses, ship cargo holds and mines. They are specially useful on fuels such as liquified natural gas for vapour dispersion and control.
  • Applications: Cellars, Storage Areas, Forest Fires, Hotel & Tunnel Fires, Liquid Gases LPG, LNG and Suitable For Hydrocarbons.
