NAFFCO Group Signs $20M MoU with CNNC-CZEC to Establish First of Its Kind High-Tech Filtration Facility in the Region.
Mr. Ahmed Khalid Al Khatib, Group Managing Director of NAFFCO Group, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CZEC, a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), to establish a specialized high-tech filtration manufacturing facility in the UAE. The agreement includes an initial investment of USD 20 million, marking a major advancement in regional industrial innovation.
The facility will produce advanced filtration systems for nuclear applications, critical industrial processes, and high-security shelters. With only a few such technologies manufactured globally, this initiative will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) key supporters of the UAE’s vision for industrial diversification and technological localization.
