Visitor Card Collectors

VISITORS DROPBOX READER

• Visitor Dropbox is made for turnstiles exit lanes used exclusively by visitors.
• The Dropbox accepts the insertion of cards with plastic cover and metallic clip.
• The recovery of the card is made by gravity so the reader must be installed between 0º and 50º for the correct operation.

Operation Description

• The card is inserted inside the dropbox.
• The card is read by the reader and the information sent to the controller. If the card must be recovered move to step (3).
• The latch is opened and the card drops by gravity. A photocell will detect the drop and close the latch, then the controller will open the turnstile and thevisitor card will be checked-out in the system.

DOUBLE VISITORS DROPBOX READER

• The Double Visitor reader has 2 different readers built in. One reader inside the dropbox for the visits cards and another on the surface of the reader for permanent card holders cards.
• The Dropbox accepts the insertion of cards with plastic cover and metallic clip.
• The recovery of the card is made by gravity so the reader must be installed between 0º and 50º for the correct operation.

Operation Description

• If the visit card is inserted inside the dropbox move to step 2. If it is used on the surface, the reader will ask to put the visit card inside the dropbox.
• The card is read by the dropbox reader and the information sent to the controller. If the card must be recovered move to step (3).
• The latch is opened and the card drops by gravity. A photocell will detect the drop and closes the latch, then the controller will open the turnstile and the visitor card will be checked-out in the system.

Operation description for permanent cards (employee cards)

• If the permanent card is inserted inside the dropbox or used on the surface reader, the latch dropbox won’t be opened to avoid the card to be dropped inside, and the turnstile will be directly opened if the card has rights.

MOTORIZED CARD READER

• Motorized card reader is made for turnstiles exit lanes or parking posts used by both visitors and permanent card holders
• The Dropbox accepts the insertion of only cards.
• The recovery of the card is made by the motorized mechanism inside the reader. It can be installed in any angle.

Operation Description

• The card is inserted and taken automatically inside the reader. Once inside the card is read.
• If the card is a visitor card and it must be recovered, the card will be pushed inside.
• If the card is a permanent card or it doesn’t have to be recovered yet, it will be returned to the owner.
